Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 10 May 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how customers may use services provided by NovaServe Technologies. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP, our Terms of Service and applicable Indian and international law.

2. Prohibited content & activities

  • Unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing or threatening content.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to authorities and removed without notice.
  • Phishing, fraud, identity theft and any deceptive scheme.
  • Distribution of malware, ransomware, spyware or hacking tools targeting third parties.
  • Unauthorised access, port scanning, or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own.
  • Spam — bulk unsolicited commercial email, SMS or messaging.
  • Infringement of intellectual property, trademarks, copyrights or trade secrets.
  • Cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting and most VPS plans (allowed on Dedicated Servers with prior approval).
  • Hosting Tor exit nodes, open proxies or open relays.

3. Network abuse

Customers must not engage in DoS/DDoS attacks, IP spoofing, ARP poisoning, BGP hijacking, or any activity that disrupts the integrity of any network — ours or anyone else's.

4. Resource fair-use (shared services)

On shared hosting and reseller plans, sustained use of disproportionate CPU, RAM, IOPS or inodes may trigger throttling or migration recommendations to a higher-tier plan.

5. Email sending

Outbound email is rate-limited. Customers must maintain low complaint rates, valid SPF/DKIM/DMARC records and a working unsubscribe mechanism for any marketing communications.

6. Compliance with law

You must comply with the Information Technology Act 2000 (India), the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and all other applicable laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of your end-users.

7. Reporting abuse

To report abuse on a NovaServe-hosted service, email abuse@novaserve.net. We respond to verified reports within one business day.

8. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, service suspension or termination — with or without notice depending on severity. Repeated or severe violations may also result in legal action and reporting to law enforcement.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
